The customer had a problem with the main capstan on a PC Strand heat treatment process line, where the gearbox was repeatedly failing. We inspected the gearbox and found that the gear case was distorting under load and breaking gear teeth. We designed a new reinforced gearbox, supplied and installed it in Thailand.
