The wire winder is used to transfer set lengths of steel wire onto strander bobbins with a good quality wind and tension control. A variety of pay-off systems are available, of the rotating table or static stem-pack type, together with back tension capstans and length measuring equipment to form complete rewind lines. The wire winder takes drums from 400mm to 1250mm and is provided with power drum loading and a high power winder drive.
