The accumulation system is used where steel or aluminium tape is to be fed continuously into a cable extrusion process. The pads of tape are driven into the process until the pad runs out, when the accumulator feeds tape into the process as the next tape pad is joined on. After joining the next pad feeds into the process and the accumulator is refilled.
